A Life Less Throwaway

I just finished reading “A Life Less Throwaway” by Tara Button, the creator of Buy Me Once and have to say, this has been one of the most useful books I’ve read on sustainable living.

Having a background in advertising, Button explains things that we partially know or suspect, in a simple, informative and eye-opening manner backed with research results. Even though you know that products are no longer made to last and we are all suffering  from the effects of consumer culture, you get a very clear picture on the cogs of the machine here and more importantly, how to resist and defy this corrupt system. I found the recommended exercises easy to follow and apply, especially tips on how to declutter your home, resist the temptation of impulse buying and make long-lasting choices that prevent wasteful living.

Highly recommended if you haven’t read it already!
