Yesterday evening, I went to this zero waste shop in Nunhead, South East London – a 10 minute walk from my house in Peckham Rye.
BYO is not a big space but it covers a lot of what you need. Non-perishable foods and spies, check. White and red wine on tap, check. A selection of oils and vinegars, check. Shampoo, conditioner, castile soap, cleaning products, organic candles, check. PURE ALMOND BUTTER made on the spot, check!
As it is located in a village surrounded by lots of other shops like the local butchers, fishmongers, bakery, corner shop and grocery store, a visit here can cover pretty much all your household needs.
One thing I hope they stock in the future though is Sesi liquid dishwasher soap, which the owner Laura said she’ll inquire with the manufacturer. I also wouldn’t say no to coffee beans, which I am yet to find in bulk in a local shop.
I also have to compliment the interior design, which made clever use of the space and looks beautiful and playful!
